Publications realized by Subterranean Press are a feast for the eyes, products for true fans! It’s just a pity when the editions disappear from the shelves and their catalog begins to flash with the word ‘sold out!’!
For this precious reprinting of the novella Alpha and Omega by Patricia Briggs I delivered the front cover and four interior b&w illos. The reading was tantalizing, I spent some time building up the characters… and the cover should have been different, then Patricia consulted her agent and they chose the version you already know…
What happened to the first project? Well, it finished inside the book as an interior illo and here is the color version… What do you think? The impact would have been different? Well, whatever the version, it seems even this book is… sold out!

They are both very well done, but I am a sucker for redheads, so seeing the cover image with the girl on it is the one I am most drawn to. It is a fantastic choice and one of the better Subterranean Press covers I've seen. They are one of my favorite smaller presses and it is always a pleasure to get one's hands on their books. Whoever has the pleasure of purchasing this volume of Patricia's series is in for a real treat because of this fantastic cover.
